The Class of 1966 Reunion
From a Personal Perspective ..... Plus Pictures!

I had never been to a reunion before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I wound up having the time of my life!  As my brother and I pulled into the Lago Mar parking lot, the first person we saw was Joe Lorenzi, an old friend I used to deliver newspapers with.  Next, I bumped into Rick Collins.  He and I joined the service at the same time and were supposed to go through basic training together.  Suffice it to say, we were separated at the induction center and never saw each other again until the Reunion!  Then I saw classmate Don Bobish.  I would have recognized him anywhere!  He hasn't changed a bit!  Neither has Shari Volkman.  She still looks great as ever. Then there was Jean Smith! Jean and I were not acquainted during our Stranahan days, but have since become good friends.  Being as I was unable to attend the 65 Reunion, Jean brought the memory boards that were on display with her especially for me to see. She's great and really cares about our class!  I would be remiss if I did not mention that Eleanor Ferraro, my Stranahan girlfriend  was there too! The last time I saw her was in 1973!  Anyway, I could continue mentioning names, etc., but that would not do justice to all the great people I saw those two days in August. The story can best be told with pictures!  I wasn't thinking "website" when most of the pictures were taken - they were intended for my personal scrapbook (that explains why I am in most of them). That aside, I hope you enjoy them!

A very special thanks to Mickie Leonard, Regina Bernard and the Class of 1966 Reunion Committee. They treated me very well and put on quite a show. They were even able to get Mark Markham and the Jesters back together for one last gig!  There's more than a hundred pictures from the reunion posted on their website. Be sure to check them out at <www.stranahan66.com>.
